# Licensing

The Fillaprint font package is licensed under the **SIL Open Font License 1.1**.
See [OFL.txt](OFL.txt) for the complete, controlling terms. This covers the TTFs,
glyph sources, accompanying build and specimen tools, and documentation supplied
as part of this font package. Third-party dependencies retain their own licenses.

The Reserved Font Names are **Fillaprint**, **Fillaprint Tab**, **Fillaprint Mono**,
**FillaprintTab**, and **FillaprintMono**.

## What this means

- Use the fonts for personal or commercial work, including products you sell.
- Embed them in documents, websites, applications, and other permitted packages.
- Share the fonts and make modifications, including small fixes.
- When distributing fonts, retain the copyright notice and OFL license.
- Distributed modified versions must use names that do not use the Reserved Font
  Names, unless you have written permission from the copyright holder.
- Original and modified font software must stay under the OFL and cannot be sold
  by itself. Bundling with software is permitted under the OFL.
- Documents, artwork, and printed objects made using the fonts do not have to use
  this license. Credit on those outputs is appreciated but not required.

The OFL permits minor as well as substantial modifications. It does not impose a
"changed enough" test. Retaining the copyright notice and respecting the Reserved
Font Names are license conditions; the request below is community guidance.

## A request to people building on this work

Please acknowledge where your version started and clearly describe your changes.
If you correct a glyph, add language coverage, or improve print behaviour, an
upstream contribution is welcome. Please avoid presenting a lightly edited copy
as an independently designed typeface.
